Market Commentary Published:11/19/08 06:13 pm The markets fell precipitously today to their lowest levels since early 2003. Support levels were breached by four of the five indexes we follow with only the DJI just holding on to its October low. Additionally, volume increased on the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 giving them a distribution day as it becomes increasingly clear that the Administration and Congress are incapable of restoring confidence to the financial markets, unfreezing consumer and business credit and alleviating a severe recession. It looks as though markets will continue to slide at least until the new Administration takes over in January. A quick announcement of the new Treasury Secretary may bring some relief in the interim.
