Markets Tremble but Trend Indicators Remain Positive

Markets trembled on Wednesday as traders feared that the Trump legislative program of health care reform, tax cuts  and infrastructure investment would be delayed by an administration paralyzed by FBI, Special Counsel and legislative investigations. The indexes clawed back some lost ground on Thursday and Friday but were left with losses for the week, the NASDAQ losing 0.6%.

The number of breakouts were limited this week by lower than average volumes on Monday, Tuesday and  Friday and Wednesday's plunge.  Breakouts fell to 13 this week from 18 last week.
