We wish all our subscribers and readers a safe and happy holiday season and a profitable and successful New Year.

There will be no newsletter next week.

Note that the markets are closed on Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2, 2012.

The NASDAQ Composite suffered a setback on Wednesday when Oracle Corp. missed its earnings targets and gave up 12%, dragging other diversified technology companies down with it. The index has recovered since then and is now facing resistance at the 50 day moving average level and then at the 200 dma level.  The medium term trend is sideways with a downward bias and we don't expect this to change over the holiday period when volumes are light and interest is diminished.

New Features this Week Additional Value that we added this week

You can now get an intraday chart of any stock on our 'Alerts Issued Today' page at anytime after the market opens. If the market is not yet open, the previous day's intraday chart is displayed

Hover for intraday chartWhen you hover your mouse over any of the symbols, the company name is displayed. If you then move your mouse over the company name it will turn orange and if you the click the company name an intraday chart will appear. This intraday chart uses real time price data from Google. Please note that there are sometimes gaps in the data depending on how frequently the stock trades.  Where there are gaps, these will be seen as a straight line connecting the two prices either side of the gap.

We will also add this feature to the Alert Monitor in the near future.

Because of the extra server load in generating the chart, this feature is only available to Trial and Platinum subscribers.
