 Weekly Commentary  

I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. As a result of the holiday the newsletter is a little shorter this week.

The NASDAQ has rallied strongly and is within site of testing resistance at the 3500 level. I wrote and then struck out strongly because although there has been a solid rise in price, volume has been well below the 50 day average as you can see on the chart. as a result, our market signal for the index, which includes a volume strength component, is still pointing down.

On the other hand, our trend reversal signal, which is based purely on price data, has turned positive. With a full week ahead, volume should pick up and we should see further gains.
