 Weekly Commentary
The NASDAQ Composite is trading in a narrow range while it consolidates recent gains. Support is coming from the previous September high, before the sudden increase in volatility. The index set a new post 2000 high while the DJI and S&P 500 made new all-time highs. The US economy continues to improve while the rest of the world deteriorates. It is only a matter of time before this acts as a drag on the US economy also. A break below 4600 would be bearish.

 Weekly Breakout Report

The number of breakouts fell back slightly but gains continued to be considering the market consolidation. Cup and handle stocks again dominated but it is interesting to see some head and shoulder bottom breakouts that were set up by the recent sharp V bottom. because HSB breakouts are lower in their base, they potentially have more upside potential.
