Weekly Commentary
Market Trends Still Positive Despite Major Index Retreat

The NASDAQ Composite gave up just 0.2% this week while the Dow and S&P 500 lost 1.9% and 1.3% respectively. Market action was mostly dominated by wild fluctuations in oil prices which were briefly negative on Monday. The NASDAQ trended up for the rest of the week and finished by forming a handle in a cup and handle pattern. The President signed a new $484 billion aid package for small businesses, hospitals, and COVID-19 testing on Friday.

NASDAQ Chart

The number of breakouts were constrained to 6 from the cup and handle pattern watchlist and 2 from the Volatility Squeeze pattern.
Chart of the Week
Intel finished the week strongly on Friday, closing above the day's low on significantly higher volume. This could potentially move higher on Monday.
