Site Breakout Report
Introduction

The Breakout Report summarizes sustained breakouts over the prior 13 weeks.

The first table indicates the number of sustained breakouts and the average percentage gain from the breakout date to the highest intraday price achieved since the breakout for this group of stocks.

The summary pie chart indicates the percentage of stocks currently demonstrating strong follow through (>= 20% gain), follow through (>=5 to <20% gain), prices in a buyable range and above the pivot (>=0 to <5% gain), prices in a buyable range but below the pivot (<0 to >-8%) or failed (<= -8%).

Column Description
B'Out Date
Breakout Date. The date on which the stock staged a Sustained Breakout, i.e., both Closing Price >= Breakout Price and Closing Volume >= Breakout volume (150% Average Daily Volume). This shows evidence of a strong breakout based on daily trade.
Symbol
Symbol for each sustained breakout.
B'Out Price
Breakout Price (Pivot). The intraday high which sets the pivot point and the beginning of the handle for the cup with handle base.
B'Out Day Close
The Closing Price as of market close on the Breakout Date.
B'Out Vol % ADV
Closing Volume as a percent of the Average Daily Volume on the Breakout Date.
B'Out RS
Relative Strength Rank as of the Breakout Date. The stock’s weighted price appreciation over the prior year, as ranked against all other stocks in our database.
B'Out CETSM

Fundamental Score as of the Breakout Date. For a review of the methodology used for determining CEF scores, follow this link.
B'Out CESM
CANTATA Evaluator Score as of the Breakout Date. A proprietary measure of the stock’s attractiveness as a CANTATA-quality candidate derived by combining the stock’s technical (CET) and fundamental (CEF) scores. B'Out CECellSM
CECell as of the Breakout Date. The CE Zone map is a 4 by 5 matrix of the CET (technical score) and the CEF (fundamental score) for the stock. Each cell is numbered and provides an indication of the health of the stock and its attractiveness as a CANTATA-quality candidate. B'Out CQSM
Chart Quality Score as of the Breakout Date. In general, accumulation on the right side of the cup combined with low volume declining price action in the handle generates a higher score. For a review of the methodology used for determining CQ scores, follow this link.
Last Close
Closing Price as of the most recent market close.
Current % Off BOP
The difference between the stock's Last Close and Breakout Price, expressed as a percentage of the Breakout Price. Values are color coded in order to easily identify stocks which may have pulled back into a buyable range after the breakout.
Gain at Intraday High
The difference between the highest intraday high achieved since the Breakout Date and the Last Close, expressed as a percentage of the Breakout Price. This percentage gain is then averaged across all sustained breakouts over the prior 13 weeks.
